Favourite apps in 2019

These are some of my favourite apps for macOS administration and tinkering.

Zsh with Oh My Zsh and Fish with Oh My Fish
The Bash shell bundled with macOS is still at version 3.2 even though version 5 has just been released. Why not try something entirely different?

FSMonitor
Shows what files are being modified in real-time. Useful for analyzing what an app or macOS is doing, locating configuration files and discovering both documented and undocumented settings.

Bash on macOS is getting outdated. Try something different.

iTerm2
A better alternative to Terminal, especially if you find a font and color theme you like to go with it.

Sublime Text
Awesome text editor.

Packages
A quick way to make packages for deploying to end users.

AutoDMG
Creates macOS installer images that can be used with software such as FileWave Lightning (for flashing 10.13.6 and earlier) or VMWare Fusion for testing.

Homebrew
Package manager for macOS.

CursorSense
Speed up your cursor.
